Chapter One---Why Did Jesus Come to Earth?

Hi I am going to place a post for each chapter in the book. As you are reading at your own pace, feel free to add your comments to the chapter where you are. Everyone of us can view where we are and also what is being added by others where they are. I hope this format will work well for us. This post is for Chapter One of When Helping Hurts---Why Did Jesus Come to Earth?

Introductory Greeting--When Helping Hurts

Hi, if you are reading this it means that you found this blog!! Hallelujah. The first book we will blog on will be When Helping Hurts. I hope many of us will return often during the reading of that book to post thoughts of discovering, challenge as well as blog experiences of serving as the Lord leads us in that direction daily. Nothing is too small to share and this opportunity to share together in this way is a blessing for me. It is my longing and desire to grow in this area of serving the poor in my own community and around the world as Jesus has called me to do. This is a particularly timely beginning I believe in light of this week's events in Haiti. So, let's begin this adventure together!!! Next post from me I will be reading and responding back to you from Chapter 1 of the book. I think Nick and I may read it out loud to each other and then we can each blog our thoughts and discussion responses. I look forward so much to hearing from you and seeing as many of you as can come pick up the book and chat on Sunday after church.
